My name is Stacy Gibson, and I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I’ve known from a young age that I wanted to become a teacher and discover new things with my students. After graduating from the Teacher Education program at Michigan State University I moved to Chicago, and I fell in love with the city. I started teaching at a school by Midway Airport, and I learned a lot about myself through my students and experiences while teaching. I also received my master’s degree in Instructional Leadership at University of Illinois Chicago. After attending a Monarch Butterfly Institute, I’ve become passionate about restoring the Monarch population and sharing that knowledge. I enjoy being outdoors and new adventures. I love swimming, biking, and running with friends and family. Now I look forward to sharing my passions and experiences with the Peirce community. I am excited to start my twelfth year of teaching.
